Effective immediately. Be careful how you use it as it can be harsh. The one weakness is the buckle. In my opinion it would be better with a pin buckle as it could be fastened that little bit quicker. The present webbing is quite tough and it can take a bit longer to slot through fully. If the horse is a bit of a bully you may not have the time especially if the handler has weak or arthritic hands - or should such a person not have such a horse? This is not the first control head collar I have had from this company. I now have four in various sizes and they have proved their worth.

Bought these for use on a horse which had had tendon surgery and is just being brought slowly back into work. RVC in London had tested them against bandaging and they came up favourably so I bought a pair. They fit nicely, seem well made and look like they are giving the necessary tendon support needed for the convalesce period.
